Since 2014, Companions in Caring (by Allegra Home Care, Inc.) has built a strong reputation throughout Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties by delivering high-quality care at affordable rates and daily oversight.
Based on the Owners' 30+ years serving frail seniors, Companions in Caring emphasizes responsiveness & family support. The company holds State HCO License #434700093, including Liability and Workers’ Compensation Insurance.
Co-Owner Frank Serafine holds a master’s degree and brings 25+ years as a Senior Care Manager. Co-Owner Esperanza Serafine has an extensive background in Home Care, combined with a Nurse's Aide history.
As independent owners of Companions In Caring, Frank and Esperanza bring their expertise and fondness for seniors to provide truly kind care, tailored to each Client's unique needs.

Scheduling Care with Companions in Caring

Our Caregivers and Ongoing Training
Companions in Caring recruits the best caregivers for the best care. They are both experienced (5+ years) and credentialed as home care aides. 2-step interviewing includes verification of references and a State criminal background check. Aides are fluent in English. A kind temperament and a strong work ethic are essential requirements.

Caregivers complete state-mandated training and participate in annual continuing education to keep their skills current and effective. Ongoing training ensures the highest standards of care and safety, with a focus on:
